Surface Protection

Chem Stretch's long-term protective films are used millions of times a year to protect glass and paint surfaces during transport or fitting. Originally designed for this purpose, these films have in the meantime conquered further areas of application, such as protecting sheets of high-quality glass and displays.
4848 surface protection film consists of an environmentally friendly polyethylene backing, which is completely coated with a self-adhesive UV- and age resistance acrylic adhesive mass. This ensures an easy and residue free removal up to four weeks. It is resistant against different chemical ingredients, physical stress, and moisture.

The red transparent backing of 4848 avoids a "darkroom" effect when the film is applied to windows. It can be used indoors and outdoors especially for long-term and large area protection on painting, plastering, and decoration work. 4848 protects sensitive and high value surfaces against dirt and damage during construction, storage, and installation.

Laser Labels

Chem Stretch laser labels are as robust as metal plates, but with the flexible handling usually associated with labels. They can be engraved using lasers with your choice of fonts, bar codes, and graphs, and cut to any required shape in the same operating cycle.

Chem Stretch laser labels also have a high resistance to tampering. Any manipulation attempt results in the actual destruction of the label.

6930 is a double-layered, highly polymerised PU acrylic label with an acrylic adhesive and a dimensionally stable liner. It is suitable for type, power, and indication plates, and can be engraved by means of a laser beam.

Available in roll form, 6930 laser labels can be engraved and die cut in the same processing step. These tamper-evident labels replace riveted laminated metal and plastic plates.

6931 is a data carrier label consisting of several individual layers, which are optionally provided with finger tabs. Its protective lamination protects the data carrier against paint and dirt and is temperature-resistant up to 428ºF.

After painting, a layer is peeled off so that the data carrier becomes perfectly legible again. The text is emission-free engraved in the data carrier by means of a laser beam through the protective layers. The laser beam causes an irreversible color change of the laser-sensitive pigments in the label material.
